Our financial statements are independently audited annually by KPMG LLP, one of the world's leading audit, tax, and advisory firms. KPMG's Denver office has served as our independent auditor since fiscal year 2014, providing the highest standard of independent assurance to our donors, grantors, and the public.
In addition to our annual external audit, Volk Donations' Finance Committee — composed of three independent Board members with CPA or CFA designations — conducts quarterly financial reviews and approves all expenditures above $25,000. Board meetings are held six times per year, with minutes published on our website within 30 days.
Our IRS Form 990 filings are publicly available on GuideStar and directly from our offices upon request. We comply fully with all reporting requirements of the Colorado Secretary of State, the IRS, and all international jurisdictions in which we operate.
